"Here at the end of all things..."

If you've a frequent reviewer of my stories, I've probably mentioned my longest ongoing project to you at some point. It is called "One Hundred Men" and at one point it had the subtitle of "The Life and Times of Piandao." I've been working on this thing for four years, on and off, as it expanded from a one-shot fight scene to a three-part action story to an eleven-part life story to an extensively rewritten twelve-part life story.
I just completed the first complete draft.
Yes, I've already been doing rewrites and editing on various parts, but I finally have a complete story. It actually feels like I'm going to be able to release this thing in the near future, for a nice change. I know it won't be worth the wait, but just removing this ax that's been hanging over my dinner table will be a huge relief.
Now I just need to find the right beta. Ideally, it would be someone who knows how to do character-focused tales, and is also a quasi-expert in history or faux-history. Double-ideally, I wouldn't be robbing myself of a review by using one of my three-and-a-half regular reviewers. (Averaged.) But that's a relatively minor concern. And no, I'm not fishing, here. Just sharing.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to do a little dance. It may involve shaking my booty, just a little.
EDIT: Credit to Piandao.org for the new icon. Thanks,
plushulala!

Date: 2012-06-15 06:31 pm (UTC)I'm also a very good history student, and I have read many historical works/historical fiction/faux-history, so I have some expertise in that regard as well.
I've also taken multiple creative writing courses and given very good reviews/critiques of other people's works.
Just offering my services if you should require them. If not, no hard feelings :)
PS. I haven't forgotten about your email, haha. I've just been holding off on responding on all the people who sent me emails till I can respond to everyone (because I like
procrastinatingbeing fair). I should respond this week.no subject
