No no, this is good stuff. I'm leaning the same way regarding Malu as an unwitting patsy; his prima donna attitude would make him a good comic relief character for the audience to gloat over.
I'm not as sold on the Appa-for-Momo bit. When it comes to climbing through high or small places, it would be more fun and tense to have Ty Lee give it a go. And I have some good ideas for how to use Appa.
Lavanya guessed right, I was going to use Suki as the ex-girlfriend who Sokka's scheme is really intended to "steal," but I was never enthusiastic about it and now I'm thinking Suki would be better as a wild card who represents the good things Sokka might be throwing away with this crazy scheme.
You have a very good idea for Yeh-Lu, but Meng is also getting a good response from people. I only have one open slot, but I'm wondering if I might not be better off booting Chit Sang, and simply making him a "neutral" character who both aids and inhibits the scheme at various points. Or I could just boot Appa from the "official count."
